Total randomness at Six Flags America today...I went just to hang out (typical Sunday for me haha) and while I was walking back towards Superman...I noticed this really familiar guy walking with a bunch of guys and a little girl. Some of the guys were in ties (from Six Flags), so I just figured it was someone who bought one of the park's VIP packages (you get your own park guide with that). Anyways...we walked past, but I did a double-take because I saw a few park security guards too. Plus, I really couldn't figure out why the heck he was so familiar!

I tapped my friend Rob on the shoulder and asked him to look...he took one glance and said "ohhh, that's Harry Connick, Jr!". And with a big "duh" - he was TOTALLY RIGHT! Wow...a big guy like that at our little park in Maryland? Weird! I found out later that he's playing at the Kennedy Center...and wanted to take his little girl out for the day. Check out the pic below! He's standing next to Bugs...totally had to take that pic inconspicuously...those security guys were tough!

So, as if that wasn't enough excitement for one day at Six Flags...we walked next over to ride The Wild One (which turns 90 this year!) and we came across a sign saying that the area was being filmed! We wondered what that was about and then saw a huge film crew and bunches of actors shooting scenes for the HBO show "The Wire"! It was like we were living in Beverly Hills all of a sudden! I snuck into the background of a couple shots...but we won't get to find out if they cut me out or not until 2008...that's when the episode is due to air. WILD, right? So funny!
