Merry Christmas to everyone back home in DC!!
Chicago is such a fun city, but its definitely a lot colder then I had expected (my first and only time in this city prior was in August!!). I came to the Windy City to spend the holidays with my boyfriend. We went to the suburbs to spend Christmas with his family. We ate, exchanged gifts, and huddled around the 50" flat-screen TV watching various movies, Scrubs, Family Guy, and CSI. I also started watching season 1 of Grey's Anatomy and have been crazily addicted to it---so much that I'm trying to restrict myself to 2 episodes a day so I won't finish two seasons worth in one night (I've once finished a 40-disc Korean drama in half a day with no food and minimal rest breaks).
Can't wait for shopping tomorrow!! It's going to be hectic but everyone's out to get the good deals! My Christmas present for the boyfriend is a shirt-shopping spree. He needs more work clothes, so I might as well pay for it. Christmas takes a bite out of my bank account. I still need to decide my work schedule for February and on-- I feel I need to work more than I'd want to just so I can save up for more traveling!
I have an obsession with domestic traveling. I think the long distance relationship is the blame for it. We'd both rather just fly to somewhere to vacation and see each other---you know, that kill two birds with one stone type of deal. Plus, what sort of common sense would it for me to buy plane tickets to Chicago, then fly over to Los Angeles?? I'm not made of money you know! But I have yet to visit the West Coast (my trip to Vegas a few years ago did not count, for I was months from 21 and did not experience my share of Sin City). Other cities on the list: Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, and Seattle. As you can see, my cities list consists of all the big names... I definitely need to get the party on before I get hit with the "very old" stick. Ugh that reminds me... I'll be "two dozen" in less than a month. That means I'll be a year from quarter-century and a year more to screw up with insomnia and random binge partying (whoop!). Hate birthdays. Despise them. I never celebrate it anyways--- but this year my friend wants to do a joint celebration type of thing. I guess I'll go through with it. A dinner (Korean buffet? Italian?) and clubbing (at our favorite spot, MCCXXIII). Eh, we'll see if the plans really pan out. I'm a bit on the lazy slacking side, after all I did just finish my degree. So its time to cheeeeel.
