So at the bar for happy hour last night my friend Laura and I got into a very funny conversation about pick up lines guys use and if they have ever been effective...

Now there are the standard lines... which I guess now are just more of a joke then they are actually being used.

For example..

"If I could re-arrange the alphabet I would put u and i next to each other"

or

" You must be tired.... because you have been running through my mind all night"

But then she pulled out one that I thought was pretty damn good... It went something like (and i know I am screwing this up a little bit)

Guy: Dinner or Breakfast?
Girl: Huh?
Guy: Well I wanted to take you out, how about dinner and hopefully it will lead to breakfast...


This all started because her and I were sitting at the bar talking, and the bartender told us the round he just served us was on this guy sitting a few tables away. He came over and said " I don't know about guys around here, but where I am from in the south, we don't let 2 ladies sit at the bar alone and not get a free drink." And then he left! There was no.. Hey lets talk.. or awkward conversation... just gone! Something like that had never happened before... and frankly I thought it was pretty cool...

What it comes down to is my favorite pick up line will always be "Can I buy you a drink" lol

So I got to go to Naples last week on a work trip, which is awesome because that means that it was FREE! It was a great time even though I spent the first 3 days in my hotel room because I got Bronchitis! I know, I know! It was Awful... But when I recovered I found out that Desmond Howard was going to be at our meeting as a motivational speaker. Now if you don't know who he is then you, really wont care about this! (Short Version, if you dont know: He played football, drafted by the redskins, won MVP of super bowl as a special teams player with Green Bay)

But anyways! That was my story! He was really nice, and actually quite motivating!!
