According to the just-released ratings, the two-hour Top Model premiere was down 11% from the February cycle and a hefty 32% less than the September 2007 series prem. HILARY DUFF'S DAD GOING TO JAIL FOR NOT PAYING 20K FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY:  A judge in Texas has ordered the father of actress and singer Hilary Duff to spend 10 days in jail for contempt of court. Bob Duff was led away in handcuffs Wednesday during a court hearing after Judge Thomas Stansbury in Houston determined he violated an injunction against selling assets without court approval. The Houston Chronicle reported in its online edition that Bob Duff must pay into a court repository $367,537 he earned from selling stocks last month. Bob Duff's attorney Robert Piro said his client would post bond and file an appeal. Bob and Susan Duff are in the midst of a bitter divorce. Stansbury determined Bob Duff should pay Susan $12,500 for Hilary's birthday party, which was the subject of the hearing. Her mother wanted $25,000 to pay for a present and party. Neither Hilary, whose 21st birthday is Sept. 28, nor her sister Haylie were in court.

OJ AND GIRLFRIEND ATTACKED BY DAUGHTER: The National Enquirer reports that O.J. Simpson's oldest daughter attacked him and his girlfriend at his Florida home over the weekend. Cops reportedly went to O.J.'s home on August 24th after his 39-year-old daughter Arnelle went crazy and attacked. A source tells the magazine that O.J. "was cut on the back of his head, blood was coming out the side of his mouth and his lip was cut." The fight was started when the father and daughter argued over how her mom, Marquerite, O.J.'s first wife has to work at Walmart just to make ends meet because OJ gives her no money. No charges were filed because Simpson told police that he didn't want to file assault charges against his own daughter.

DAVID DUCHOVNY has entered rehab . . . for SEX ADDICTION. --He issued a statement yesterday, saying, quote, "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction.  I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family." --Duchovny . . . who's 48 . . . has been married to actress TEA LEONI since 1997.  They have a 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son.

 --Oddly enough, David has had to answer questions about an alleged sex addiction before.  In an interview with "Playgirl" back in 1997, he DENIED having a problem.

--He said, quote, "I'm not a sex addict.  I have never been to those meetings.  It's hurtful to my family and if I was involved with a woman in a monogamous relationship, it would be hurtful to her." Tea addressed the rumor in 1998, telling "Elle" magazine, quote, "David was accused of being a sex addict.  Which I always found very exciting.  And then I found out it wasn't true."
